Anvar Kurbanov is a talented metal chaser and craftsman from Bukhara, Uzbekistan and the founder of “Kandakor”. Anvar loved art from a young age and was always fascinated by the patterns on the plates, which reflect the rich history, culture, and spirit of his ancestors. This art form is called “Kandakor”.
Anvar carves brass, nickel, silver, bronze and copper into decorative plates, jewelry, coffee pots and other beautiful items, and then color them with enamel. In Uzbekistan, we call the art form
In his workshop, you can find a variety of handcrafted plates painted with cold enamel with traditional Uzbek patterns from different materials such as copper, brass, and silver. These plates are unique decoration items that can be used as well to serve both cold and hot dishes, pastries, and sweets.
